Dr. Amitava attended Medical School at the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences after which he underwent post-graduate training in Surgical E.N.T. at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. He was mentored by Dr. K. R. Meghanadh during his fellowship in Otology and Cochlear Implantation at MAA E.N.T. Hospital, Hyderabad. He also attended Gruppo Otologico in Italy to further polish his skills. He is proficient in all types of E.N.T surgeries. His special interests lie in Ear Surgery and Cochlear Implant.
